This store is so well stocked and so clean and organized. The staffing was very low on a Sunday morning, this the line was about 6-7 people long. Several people simply dropped what they were doing to buy and left. Fairly slow checkout process.

Purchasing a firearm is supposed to be a 3 day wait from the date of purchase(online retailers it is from the date of purchase online, not the date of delivery to the location. The law clearly defines it.) and the completion of a background check, whichever comes at the later date. If you purchase a firearm online through academy that must be delivered they make you wait 3 days from the day you fill out your background check in store, now i would have to come back to the store a second time 3 days later to pick up the firearm. They go above and beyond what the law requires by holding firearms for additional days when it is not a legal requirement. I finished the purchase with them. I will never buy another firearm through academy until these practices are remedied. Also if returning an item in store and they did not provide you a receipt on the date of purchase they claim they will not give you full credit of the item without the receipt. Make sure this location gives you a receipt upon the transaction finishing or you could end up in the same boat. I got all my money back through a bitter dispute with lady on register. I will never frequent this location again and may stay out of academies as a whole if this becomes standard practice across all locations.
