Its unfortunate that I have to leave this review but im very frustrated with the business practices and I was not heard in store. Today I went in to sell my scrap gold and bullion to pay a few bills, no issues. I put everything on the counter and they tell me they dont take gold coins or bullion, thats odd but I agree and move on, they test all my jewelry which it comes up fine, its all 10kt and its weighs 32.1grams. The value of that in todays price should be approximately 1600$ give or take, i know they wont give me full price they need to make money so i estimates 10% off of scrap (90% value) they offer me *60%*. Ive bought from them in the past they mark up their stuff 15-20% in the display case. So you are telling me your markup on gold between buying it at 60% and selling at 20% over is a minimum 40-50% margin?? The lady comes over and says, "sorry im confused are you mad we charge a markup on our gold?" No maam i was expecting 10% not 40 and a 50% markup is far beyond what anyone could call reasonable profit margins. "So you are mad we charge over spot? NO IM MAD YOU UNDERPAY AND OVERCHARGE. Its almost like double dipping instead of charging a 15% markup in case and 10% under spot you gouge both ways. And you make the arguement that gold price fluctuates, look at the 20 year chart, its never depreciated. It only goes up. Sad part is I bought some of the jewelry I brought today from them. Reason for 2 stars is the staff is usually kind and freindly.

I stumbled upon this gem in downtown Dallas. Very friendly staff, especially Lexi, Elise and Bobby. I have to admit that I was intrigued by the mystery box in the corner. They were very limited with the information about it. Apparently there is a special question you have to ask to gain access to it. I’ve heard it contains the best deal in the store or it could be nothing. I suspect that’s part of the mystery. I will continue to document my findings until I unlock the mystery. Apparently, what’s in it and how much is it are not the questions that will get you anywhere. I’m not entirely sure I am even supposed to know about the box. More to come, if they don’t silence me.
