Looked like a great selection on bunches of stuff. Well lit inside, clean, and easy parking outside. Searched shoes, looked at bbq's, checked out sales. Went over and looked at guns with my wife. Here's where the good review stops. We want to purchase 2 different firearms and the 2 employees behind the counter.... didn't say a word to us. I was bent down looking at different models for 5 minutes, not dressed like a homeless guy, and ready to spend a few $$$'s. Would not have taken much interaction to make a $2,000 sale guys. So, new firearms and shoes we needed.... won't be from here. Management, acknowledging customers is not a difficult concept in sales.

I stopped into Academy Sports recently, Feb 5th @ 8 PM, and was really disappointed with the customer service. The employee didn’t greet me at all — not even a basic hello. It honestly felt like he was annoyed that a customer showed up and interrupted his conversation with the group of employees hanging out up front. When he handed me my receipt, he was already halfway turned around, clearly eager to get back to chatting with his buddies instead of helping customers. The whole interaction felt rude and unprofessional. Dick’s across the street is head and shoulders above this place when it comes to attitude and service. I’ll be taking my business there from now on.
