Rambling River Guns is one of those shops that’s just easy to work with. FFL transfers are quick and painless, they keep you updated, and pickup is simple. Their CCL classes are not intimidating, and they really focus on safety and real world situations. Plus, the veteran discount is a huge bonus and really shows they appreciate those who served.

I took a gun in to get cleaned. $125. They said they were slow and not very busy. It should take about a week. About a month later I got the gun back. After test firing the gun I realized they never cleaned the gun at all. Took it back. They said they would give me a refund or $75 back and they will actually clean the gun this time. When I bring the gun back they tried to only give me $62.50. Instead of the $75 back originally agreed on. Long story short. They cleaned the gun again. Noticed the bolt sleeve was cracked and needed to be replaced. Said the part was $100, $20 to install the part. (Which would be easy because the gun is already taken apart.) The part would be here in 4 days. Should be done before Deer hunting. It was not done before Deer hunting. The week after deer opener the gun is finally done. Instead of the original $120 to fix the gun, They tell me the total is now $157, and they waived the install fee… I would recommend going to a real gun shop and not these clowns. UPDATE: It was 100% not cleaned the first time. Probably because it’s a difficult gun to disassemble and reassemble. It was gummed up and full of dirt. What did you spray some oil and wipe it down? Definitely was not deep cleaned. Even when it was brought back in they noticed the dirt in the action and said “I don’t know how the gunsmith missed this? He must need new glasses.” Now they respond to the bad review and say it was cleaned the first time and they shouldn’t have refunded me? Take your guns to a reputable, honest Gun shop. Not these scammers.

Q&A

Pricing on gun cleaning?
Answer: Hi Antonio and thanks for the question. Our pricing is $30 for standard field-strip and clean. $80 for the deep clean service. Those prices are per firearm of course.
