South Shore Shooting Range

My wife and I went there last weekend. It way my wife's first time at the range. I explained that to them and said I would be staying close to her while she was shooting. They had no issue with that. They were courteous when explaining the rules to her. The range itself is immaculate and well lit. The range officers were friendly, kept a close eye on the shooters without getting overbearing. I highly recommend this range, we will be back this weekend. Thank you South Shore for the positive experience.

they have come such a long way. back when it was long island shooting center or whatever it was awful. dingy, rude staff, etc. Ever since they re-opened its definitely the best range on the island. well lit and ventilated, little cold but just throw a sweater on. They recently upgraded to electronic controls which are very nice. The shop is also fantastic. they have an amazing selection (the used pieces go to the merrick store), of new pistols, rifles, and shotguns. lots of accessories too. Just do yourself a favor and don't call to see if they have something, go check it out for yourself. I called looking for a specific magazine they said they didnt have, but when i went there they had several of them. All in all, in a very hard place to be a shooting fan, SSSR is the best we got!
