Went to the gym section to order ammo that they didn’t use in stock. As a week before this an employee had told me they could order it. First off the employee behind the gun counter had a pistol with magazine in it no trigger safety and the slide was forward waving it around like a toy flagging myself, a child and other people near by. Then when I asked about ordering the ammo, the employee looked at me with disgust like he didn’t want to do it and said “you know you could order it online” I replied with I do know that and if I did I wouldn’t be ordering it from academy as I can get a better deal. He was all upset at that comment so I decided to just leave. I informed the manger of it as I checked out with over $350 of gear and had just bought a much of other stuff early this season for hunting not to include I go there looking at weights and other items that I don’t think I’ll be shopping at that store and would just drive to Bristol for bass pro for better quality service. Highly discouraged about how customer service has become.

I asked if they would sell to an ffl and just do a ffl to ffl transfer. The kid behind the counter didn’t know and went and got a manager. How she handled it is the reason for 1 star. She was very short and rude about it. Saying no we don’t do that. Then turned around and walked away from me. It’s fine they don’t but she could have handled it WAY differently.
