If you’re in El Paso and need a gun shop run by someone who actually gets it, go see John at Whisper Firearms. The guy is solid. Straight shooter, knows his stuff, and treats you like one of his own. He’s a veteran too, so the vibe is easy and familiar right from the start. He helped me out with electronic fingerprints for my suppressors and SBRs and made the whole thing simple instead of a headache. He’s also transferred in some really cool items for me, and his transfer fee is honestly one of the best you’re gonna find around here. What really stood out is that John has gone out of his way a couple times to help me outside normal business hours when he had the chance. Not a lot of shop owners do that anymore, and it says a lot about the type of guy he is. The shop itself is solid. He sells SBRs, suppressors, all the NFA stuff that makes life fun. He does gunsmithing and Cerakote too, and you can tell he takes pride in his work. Whisper Firearms is the kind of place where you can actually ask questions without getting judged, and you walk out knowing more than when you came in. If you want a veteran run shop that actually takes care of people, Whisper Firearms is the spot. Highly recommend.
