I am writing complaint regarding an incident that occurred at your store on November 25, 2025, at approximately 10:00 a.m. My experience in the gun sales section raised serious concerns about discriminatory treatment and lack of professional customer service. Upon entering the gun area, I observed that the employee working the section—who I was later informed is one of the managers—was assisting a customer, with no one else waiting in line. I am a Black male, and both the employee and the customer were white. While waiting, I looked at several firearms. The employee looked up at me but did not acknowledge me, which I initially dismissed. Shortly after, another white customer approached the counter. When the employee finished assisting the first customer, he immediately began helping the newer customer, bypassing me entirely. The customer being assisted even looked at me as though he recognized I had been waiting before him. Despite this, the employee never acknowledged my presence. I left the area and approached the front checkout desk to request a manager. The staff member told me that the manager on duty was the same employee in the gun area—the individual whose actions prompted my concern. When I stated this, he again said that was the person I needed to speak with. As I headed toward the exit, I encountered the original customer who had been assisted. I asked if he had noticed me standing behind him. He responded, “Of course I did, and sorry for taking so long,” confirming that my presence had been clear. I returned to the front desk and again asked for a manager. A female employee then approached and identified herself as the store manager. This contradicted the earlier information given by the front desk associate. I explained the situation to her, and when she asked me to describe the employee, I suggested we walk back to the gun area so I could identify him directly. She declined three separate times, stating it was unnecessary and that she would review the store video footage. It was unclear why this was not mentioned initially. Additionally, at no point did she ask for my name, contact information, or any details to follow up on the complaint. I left the store feeling disregarded and extremely concerned about the possibility of discriminatory treatment. The lack of acknowledgment, the decision to assist customers out of order, and the inconsistent information about management were unprofessional and unacceptable.
