Bryan or Brian, in the firearms department, I apologize if I am spelling your name incorrectly. Thank you for making my girlfriend's first firearm purchase a pleasurable experience for her, and I. Your knowledge of handguns and handgun accessories is second to none. Academy Sports + Outdoors, I hope you read these reviews because your employee in the firearms department is more valuable and efficient than 10 of the usual employees from other stores combined! Seriously, we were in and out in 30 min, and my girlfriend had no intention of buying a firearm when we walked in the store that day. She saw those pretty handguns with optics in your display case and had to have one. Bryan or Brian, answered all of her questions and guided her through purchasing all the equipment she would need to store, clean, and accessorize her firearm. He was not pushy or trying to force a sale, he was exceptional and let my girlfriend make all of the decisions on her own without having anyone tell her what she needs to buy. That is how you sell a firearm! I was impressed, so much so that my next firearm will be purchased from Brian, or Bryan as well. Now, if we could just get Academy to give a bribe 😉😉, or a "facilitation payment", to Glock so they start shipping some extra Gen 6 models to our store, that would be great 😁. If Academy wants to make another $1,000+ sale it would suit their best interest to get some more Glock 19 Gen 6s 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂 Just kidding Academy, but seriously, I hope you read this and get more soon. 😎 Also, take care of your firearms department employees.

I haven't been in an Academy for a minute so I was surprised to see the check out lane has turned into Marshalls. (I guess that's the new thing?) Overall it's a nice place with a decent amount of items, though they seem to be running very short on size Small items. Store was clean, plenty of open registers, and I was greeted when I walked in- always a plus in my book.
