While.in the US, first time ever at a shooting range! Look out and find for Burgess. Extremely knowledgeable, friendly and great for advice. Burgess thoroughly went thought with us a basic and safety of handling a gun. And just like that...we were enchanted luke some Harry Potter with a wand. Can't say I did well but we had lots of fun. Man in pic...thats Burgess...a cop, a father, a family man...the man you want to talk to, for all your gun advice! Enjoy..Utah, Salt Lake City...Jan 2026. Thank you Burgess and Doug's shoot n sports

We have been there yesterday. It was my second time in the U.S. and third time on a shooting range. The shop is incredible. So many weapons! I shot two handguns and one rifle. It is very easy to loan some of their guns and shoot them on their range. The range is in the basement and looks new and clean. Prices are very very fair too! The instructions and explanations of Burgees have been great and very helpful. Even my fiancee got a pair of ear-pads to join me on the range, even she didn't shot. The other team members have been very friendly too. Very nice location! Thank you again guys! Have a good one. All the best from Germany, Nico.

Q&A

I have 2 questions, I was wondering with Utah being an open carry state, do you have to have a CFP if you're just going to the range? I don't plan on carrying on my hip at all. Also do you have a CFP today or when is the next class?
Answer: Not sure on classes but know they have them quite often. All you need to do is pay the range fee sign in and if you need eye protection and ear protection you need to give them your drivers license as collateral. I have my Concealed carry and not once have they asked for it. By the way these guys know there guns and if you have questions they are all very knowledgeable

Answer: If you do not have a CFP you can still open carry as long as the firearm is two actions away from being fired. Our next CFP class will be this Saturday from 8am till 12pm hope to see you there!

Answer: A CFP is not needed to shoot at the range. You will just need to make sure that you bring the gun in some type of case. Or on your hip exposed, this will ensure you are not breaking any Cfp laws. Classes are usually every two weeks there for the cfp. I would reach out to them for specific data and get your name on the list.
