Sportsman's Warehouse

This store has some really neat merchandise and some great variety. However, I probably won't be spending any more money here.I bought two firearms from Bill the other day and he was extremely friendly and informative. Today I pick them up though and the two associates at the gun counter were pretty mean-spirited. Every customer that came up to the counter they were very Curt with and even gossiped about them with profanity right in front of me. What was coming out of their mouths was pretty pathetic as employees (especially right in front of a customer).I was also wanting to get some accessories for my purchases but they kept saying that they "wanted to get me out of there". They really made it clear that they wanted to the minimum. For instance, I wanted to buy an optic for my rifle, the older gentleman seemed very frustrated that I asked for him to take a few out of the case. he wouldn't even really listen to my needs. There were several other issues with this. Also, the process of just picking up the guns took close to an hour as they had to scan all of these receipts and fill out a million forms. I've never had that happen at Bass pro shop other similar outdoorsman retailers. It was a bit of an unfortunate experience as I was very excited with my purchases. I would have likely spent quite a lot more money here but just due to their attitude, I will be looking elsewhere. A side note, it seemed like much of there inventory on the shelves didn't have a price on it. Lots of stuff. Had 20% off tags with no actual price, seems sketchy

I almost purchased a fishing combo yesterday at Sportsman's Warehouse and I’m so glad I didn’t. Upon closer examination, I noticed salt buildup in the bearings and all around the reel, indicating that the combo had clearly been used and full of salt. Yet, it was still priced at full retail. It’s disappointing that you can’t even purchase fishing gear without having to second-guess it. Sportsman's Warehouse shouldn't be selling fishing equipment/Rods/Reels. If you're in the market for rods or reels, I recommend avoiding this store. How can they treat customers this way? Some people actually purchase used equipment and they don't even realize it. This place is disgusting and highly unprofessional. This is not the first time I've heard of this happening here. This is just the first time I myself have experienced a situation like this. I have pictures of the fishing rod and real combo and I want people to see how bad this place is just by looking at the reel I almost bought brand new—-it was a Penn Wrath II. I even noticed other fishing rods and reels that were clearly used. I couldn’t believe it. I’m so glad I waited and went home and ordered a Penn Battle IV from a quality store online. I will never go back to this location again, and I advise people to steer clear from this franchise. On a side note The workers just stand around the store and they don’t assist you with anything. Only lady even told me she didn’t work there yet she had a “Sportmans Warehouse” shirt on. Just absolutely unprofessional on every level. Stay away form here and do yourself a favor and order your outdoor/gear/fishing goods online.
