Shooters Depot

I joined the Shooter’s Depot Intro to firearms class last Thursday evening. My expectations were met and exceeded by the - as they say - “friendly and knowledgeable staff”. That’s no exaggeration in the case of SD. Andy and Clint at the front desk were great, and our class instructor, Ben, was stellar. He’s very good at meeting each class member where they are and yet keeping all of us moving right along in the two hour experience. Safely and effectively handling firearms is a complex task with serious consequences for mistakes or carelessness. Ben is keenly aware of that, and manages the class with a premium on safety. Somehow he also manages to keep it chill and fun, and demonstrates a nice low-key sense of humor. I have handled firearms for years, so this was a refresher for me, but I definitely learned a few things. When I asked questions he handled them really well and was never defensive or dismissive about my questions, or any others from the class. The range time at the end was amazing, bringing it all together. I have also worked 1-1 with Ben and he packs great content and learning into his private lessons. All in all, you won’t be disappointed when you drop by Shooter’s Depot!

Today was my first time going to shooters depot and I honestly can’t wait to go again! I had a lesson with Ben and I’ve never heard someone explain firearm safety and skills in such a relatable and effective way. I went into this session not feeling the best about my knowledge of firearms and skills in using them for protection and after the session I’ve never felt this confident in protecting my family if the need arose. I am thankful for Ben and how he has drastically improved my shooting in just one session. I highly recommend signing up for a lesson with him!
