I had a very disappointing experience at this Academy location. Instead of being greeted or offered help, I was followed around by both employees and police officers. It was uncomfortable, humiliating, and unprofessional. When I finally asked for assistance, the employee told me they didn’t work in that department and walked away. After I complained, the store actually called me back — not to apologize, but to gaslight me about what happened. Rather than owning up to the poor treatment and lack of service, they tried to make it seem like the problem was mine. This kind of dismissive, defensive behavior makes it clear they don’t value their customers. Management should take accountability and address how people are being treated in this store.
