Wiley's Gun Shop

I recently visited Wiley's for the first time. They have a great variety of reloading supplies. The long guns are in racks on the showroom floor. This is a really nice thing because you can shop and touch without having to ask for someone to hand you something just for browsing. It's a really great environment. The folks there don't approach you. It's not that they are ignoring you. They are just giving you space. Ask a question, and they seemed more than happy to talk. Big bonus: they have a shooting range out back. You can shoot everything from a few yards out to 100. I immediately planned a return trip to visit the range. I came back the following Friday to practice some precision rimfire. And to my surprise, the range was packed, even with less than ideal weather. As long as you don't plan on bringing out a half dozen (or more) firearms, it's a really reasonable price. At $5 per person plus $5 per gun, it's a real deal. Now, the target holders are very worn out and make it difficult to mount a target on a flat plain, so there is that. But for $10 a visit, you can't expect caviar. The folks on the range are really friendly and a few new shooters asked for my help setting up new scopes. I happily did so because who doesn't want to shoot cool new rifles? Now for the only reason I knocked off a star. The prices on the firearms inside are not ideal. Some are close, but others just seem high. It's not that there isn't a bargain here or there, but I found the prices in new firearms to be about 10% - %15 higher than other places closer to the larger cities nearby. I did not ask about price matching. To me, that seems rude when considering the location. And this is not a big company owned store. With all that said, I will absolutely continue to visit because they have so many other things that I do need at very reasonable prices.

Im not the most knowledgeable about guns and dropped/lost the chamber pin to an old 32 revolver . When I went in to see if they had one I was told they need to know the exact type of gun and they would help me. Once I gave them the exact type of gun they said it needs to be brought overnight that they can't figure it out. Seemed kind of sketch if you ask me. These people seem highly educated in guns and gun stuff. They knew what kind of pin was needed. They just wanted to give me a hard time at best and at worst were looking to steal using possession rights or cause a problem. They didn't come off as trustworthy but did appear highly knowledgeable. Take it for how you take it.
